בשנים האחרונות המתח החברתי, השסע והקיטוב בינינו הולכים ומחריפים. בעוד שעל כתפיו של דור מייסדי המדינה הוטלה משימת הקמתה – משימת דורנו היא להבטיח מחר ישראלי משותף. זהו החזון שהציב הנשיא יצחק הרצוג.
מיזם "מחליפים מילה" הוקם לתרגום חזון זה למעשה. ייעודו לקיים ולקדם את היכולת למצוא את המאחד והמקרב שקיים בתוכנו, ולייצר את הריפוי שהחברה הישראלית זקוקה לו. עשרות ארגונים ומוסדות בישראל ובתפוצות הצטרפו אלינו, ויחד אנו בונים מחר ישראלי משותף.
בוועידת הנשיא ייקחו חלק דמויות בולטות הפועלות לחיבור בין קבוצות וגישור על מחלוקות. נציגים מכלל המגזרים יעסקו בשאלות מעשיות: כיצד מגשרים על מחלוקות עמוקות, מנהלים שיח בתוך חוסר הסכמה, ובונים מנהיגות מחברת.
הוועידה תתקיים ב-13 במאי 2026, בבנייני האומה בירושלים.

In recent years, tensions and divisions within Israeli society have deepened. While Israel’s founding generation carried the responsibility of building the state, the mission of our generation is to help secure its shared future.
Time to Talk: The President’s Initiatives for a shared Israeli Future
(Machlifim Milah) was created to turn vision into action. Its goal is to strengthen dialogue across communities, encourage listening across divides and differences, and highlight what connects us as a society.
Across Israel and the Jewish world, dozens of organizations, civic institutions, educators, youth movements and community leaders have come aboard this effort. Together, they are working to deepen dialogue, rebuild trust, and help shape Israel’s shared future.
The President’s Conference will bring together leaders, educators, civic organizations, and community voices from across the full spectrum of Israeli society and the Jewish world. Participants will explore practical questions that shape our collective future: how to engage across deep disagreement, how to sustain meaningful dialogue during times of tension, and how to cultivate leadership that strengthens trust and connection between communities.
